Goebbels killed himself (along with his wife Madga and their six children) moments before the Soviets captured the Fuhrers Berlin bunker.
He was the mouth-piece of the Third Reich – Propaganda Minister.
One of his first tasks upon assignment to the Propaganda Ministry was to order the burning of books written by Jewish & anti-Nazi authors. He slowly gained control over every news outlet in Nazi Germany and controlled the information released to the public, often concealing the sinister nature of Nazi policy.
Goebbels was the lead agitator in stirring up hatred against German Jews, European Jews, all Jews. His frequent and violent verbal attacks against Jewish people are not only an affront to Jewish peoples, but to all civilized humanity.
He may not have murdered, but he spoke the words which motivated many to murder.
He didn’t want himself or his family to suffer the consequences of his actions. Actions, he apparently thought were so terrible that it would be better to murder his entire family, then kill himself.

Magda Goebbels step-father was Richard Friedlaender, a Jewish man. The fact that Magda had no Father listed on her birth certificate makes it obvious that Friedlaender was her real Father. This made Magda half-Jewish; a mischlinge 1st Grade under German law. Another interesting fact is Goebbels had a half-Jewish girl friend as a young man. You don’t have to scratch too deep below the surface to see how hypocritical the Germans are.

I really hope when you say “Germans,” you were referring to the Nazis. Otherwise, wouldn’t it seem hypocritical to be making stereotypical blanket statements when criticizing a blatantly biased and racist group?

True, not all Germans were Nazis, but many nazis were German or Austrian.
Have you got anything on SS General Hans Kammler, architect of Auschwitz-Birkenau crematoria and gas chambers? He went ‘missing’ after the war. Last sighted 18 April 1945, Bad Thuringia, Germany.

After recently reading 2 books – “On Hitler’s Mountain”, and “The Lost Life of Eva Braun” (among many others on the subject) – I am convinced that the average German citizen had no idea of the inner workings of the Nazi Party. It wasn’t until the horrors of the concentration camps emerged, that the people realized, with sickness and shock,that this man, who cowardly killed himself and left the mess to others, was truly capable of. We cannot hold the German people responsible for this. They were deceived by a very charismatic man, who believed in his own twisted mind that he was creating a better world.
